Que: Why did the hunter-gatherers travel from place to place? In what ways are these similar to/different from the reasons for which we travel today?

Ans:

The hunter- gather travelled from place to place to hunt animals and collect fruits, berries and leaves of plant. They followed the seasonol migration of animals. Whenever fruits were less. They went to a new place.

Today  we travel for different reason like going of business trips, excursions, visit to religlous places ect. We also go of buy goods of everyday use.

Que: What tools would you use today for cutting fruit? What would they be made of?

Ans: To cut fruis we use knives, made of steel or we use electric knives.

Que: list three ways in which hunter-gatherers used fire (see page16). Would you use fire for any of these purposes today?

Ans: Hunter- gather may have used fire for cooking food , give light in the interior of the caves and it gave security, because animals were afraid of fire.

Que: Make two columns in your notebook. In the left hand column, list the foods hunter - gathers ate. In the right hand column, list some of the foods you eat. Do you noticee any similarities/difference.

Differences between the two eating habits: Today, we largely eat processed and cooked food, whereas the early people did not cook their food. They ate everthing raw.

Que: If you had a natural pebble - like the ones shown of page 13 in the textbook, what would you use it for?

Ans:

1. I would have used some of these stone tools to cut meat and bone, scrape bark (from trees) and hides (animal skins), chop fruit, and roots.

2. Some may have been attched to handles of bone or wood, to make spears an darrows for hunting. 

3. Other stone tools were used to chop wood, which was used as firewood.
